Sometimes the only thing you need is to slow down and stop for a minute. However, it can be dangerous, especially on heavy traffic roads and crowded streets where you’ll be run down¸tromped or both. But eimog’s debut album has been recorded as a slow one. Playing the music, the band often forgets to let the listener go, moving his from one disappearing galaxy to another. They remind Will Destroy You and Steve Reich combined into one. After extensive touring over their own country, the Italian quartet that plays intimate post-rock with classic traditions is going to visit our country as well, Kyiv and Lviv this autumn, so acquaint yourself closer with these guys.

It started approximately a month ago when we’ve just heard about IAMX coming to Lviv. Long stories written about Ukraine and the received promise of an interview ended up in a failure due to tight schedule of the musicians. So we’ve managed to meet Chris in person just at the short press-conference. The musician turned out to be very sweet and he seemed interested with our questions, it was noticeable that Chris cannot wait till the concert starts to see the audience in Ukraine...
It seems it was the first Lviv gig of a suchlike band: powerful, thrilling, impressive and making fly. Wonderful visual accompanying on a large wall behind the playing musicians and live communication via chat once in a while like: “It’s our first time here in Ukraine, and we really like it, and we are not afraid to dance anymore”. Not only the musicians were dancing but the audience as well: “You cannot just stand there”, one of the attendees said.
But the interview wasn’t as serious as the atmosphere of the gig because it consisted mostly of jokes and laughter.
Mental Illness Illustration is the title of one of Philip Elliott’s albums of illustrations, which perfectly suits the paintings of this illustrator living on Australian coast. As it seemed when looking at the paintings and turned out true when communicating, he mainly draws his life, to be more precise, people in it. Representations are often bitter, honest and sometimes harsh, it is often needed to pay attention not only to the image but the titles or the captions to it.
